About the BUILT Program

The Concrete Masonry Association of California and Nevada (CMACN) is proud to announce the launch of the BUILT® program, an initiative designed to promote sustainable construction practices through the use of concrete masonry. The BUILT® mark signifies a commitment to low-carbon, locally produced building materials that sequester carbon, withstand natural disasters, and contribute to net zero goals.

We thank you for you participating in this effort by displaying this mark on your websites and in your marketing materials.

Extended tag

Wherever possible, it’s best to use the mark with the extended tag, to help fully describe what the BUILT® mark represents. This version is best used on a light background at a size that makes it easy to read the tag.

Inverse extended tag

The inverse version of the mark is for use over photography, or solid dark colors. Make sure the contrast and scale will allow for the tag to be easily read by the reader.

Solid

When used at small scale or near other icons use the simple solid mark. If possible, the official tagline may be used in nearby body copy to provide context.

Inverse

The inverse mark is for use over photography, or solid dark colors. Again, feel free to use the official tagline in nearby copy to provide context.

California tagline

On materials developed for California audiences, use this version. Packages includes inverse versions as well as solid.

Nevada tagline

On materials developed for Nevada audiences, use this version. Packages includes inverse versions as well as solid.

Standalone tagline

The BUILT® mark of the California/Nevada concrete masonry industry tells you you’ve chosen a sustainable building material that naturally sequesters carbon and is made with local labor, local materials, and shipped from a local location to you. Look for it when you buy.

If you’d like to use the official BUILT® tagline in body copy on your website or in print materials, select and copy it above, and then paste into your working document. The tagline is also included with each of the downloadable packages above in a text file.
